THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS, AND UNFINISHED

RONIN SUMMER VI: DARK CRUSADE

Things have been pretty hectic for the Masho of the Dynasty lately; between their battle with the Outer Senshi, war with the Dark Kingdom, and confrontation with the revived Demon Lord Arago, they're all looking forward to a bit of relaxation. Unfortunately, a new threat is looming on the horizon, and it has no intention of letting the Masho rest upon their laurels. Soon, Kayura, Anubis, Rajura, and Naaza will find themselves embroiled in a fight with seven psychotic siblings, and the enigmatic being they call "Mother". Worst of all, the only help they can find is with the Outer Senshi - some of the very people they once tried to destroy! It seems these former villains are about to learn that the price of reformation is eternal conflict...

  • Chapter One - Ill Winds

Jirogorou Kuroda, known better as Rajura, the Masho of Deception, has his usual calm routine of running the newly conquered Dark Kingdom violently interrupted by a surprise visit from his empress, Kayura, and her new betrothed, Anubis. In the middle of their discussion, a strange man named Pedri appears, and vows to lead the world they live in to a paradise... of oblivion. A new menace has appeared, and Rajura may find his self-confidence sorely misplaced...

  • Chapter Two - Desperate Times

Pedri makes his threats solid with a daring midnight strike on the castle of Kayura. His brother Thraw and sister Erdge lead the attack, meeting and battling with a number of youja guards and the Masho themselves... but the Masho do not have their mystical samurai armour, and the enemy might prove more than they can handle alone!

  • Chapter Three - Desperate Measures

The Dynasty is in danger, and Yamanouchi Naotoki, Masho of Poison is unaware! Knowing that at any moment, the man known as Naaza could return to a castle full of enemies, Kayura orders her other Masho, Anubis and Rajura, to travel to Earth and seek their teammate out! As for herself, the young Empress shall not be idle... SOMEONE has to infiltrate their castle and liberate the youma held within (to say nothing of the mystical yoroi crystals)...

  • Chapter Four - Searching

Anubis and Rajura arrive on Earth, wet and in foul moods. Wounded and short on time, the two Masho search high and low throughout the city of Tokyo, unable to locate their ally Naaza. However, their desperate search for allies may not go unanswered, as Haruka Ten'ou, Michiru Kaioh, and Hotaru Tomoe learn that staying home from school can have most unexpected circumstances...

  • Chapter Five - Surprises

Thus far, Naaza has remained blissfully ignorant of the peril facing his friends and his home, "enjoying" an evening with Nasuti Yagyu and Jun Yamano. But when car trouble leaves them stranded and facing an onslaught of Pedri's soldiers, only a very... timely... intervention can save the Masho of Poison from a deadly fate!

  • Chapter Six - Entrances And Exits

The Masho and their newly made allies the Outer Senshi arrive back in the Dark Kingdom, with Nasuti and Jun in tow, to find Takenoko and the Storm Senshi waiting for them. But where is the Empress? This is the question to which Anubis wants an answer, and soon! Rajura has a scheme, but it will require the help of all the Outer Senshi to work... but why is Setsuna acting so strangely? What kind of hold could an old scar have over her?

  • Chapter Seven - A Brief Calm

Anubis is reunited with Kayura, and all seems well in the world... or as well as they can be, with Rajura and Setsuna trading barbs and insults. What happened in 1569, and why does Rajura insist he has no knowledge of it? When the overuse of their powers leaves all four Masho drained and exhausted, the group has no choice but to set up camp in the shadow of the enemy fortress... and who is the strange red-haired man haunting Hotaru's dreams?

  • Chapter Eight - Preparations

At Pedri's request, Erdge goes into the depths of their fortress to recruit the aid of Tytoung, the only sibling who may be even more fearsome and malicious than Pedri himself! The Masho are making preperations of their own, as Kayura and the Senshi grab a bath and Jun and Hotaru have a little talk about their relationship.

  • Chapter Nine - Let Us Compare Mythologies

Pedri's brother Vyne faces off against his sister Tuls, and begins to foment ideas of rebellion as Nasuti makes a startling discovery about the true nature of the enemy to Kayura and the Outer Senshi. Afterwards, Rajura appears to menace Setsuna, wanting to know exactly how she could be aware of 1569, and a few more startling discoveries are made.

  • Chapter Ten - Scattered Pieces

Pedri and his group have finally tracked down the Masho and the Outers, and the war is on! Naaza finds himself battling against Tytoung, the monstrous lizard who has discovered a taste for Nasuti, while Jun Yamano battles a horde of giant insects -and a certain winged sibling named Vyne- with nothing more than a stick and his own fortitude. Fortunately, he has help in the form of the Storm Senshi and the minotaur Takenoko.

  • Chapter Eleven - Safekeeping

Vyne pairs up with his sister Holts, and the two go in search of Rajura and Hotaru, who Vyne is beginning to wish he had been less hasty in disposing of. Meanwhile, Hotaru is visited once again by the strange man in her dreams who insists he's an old friend of Setsuna's... before she can find out who he really is, however, survival takes precedence. Rajura insists that their only hope of making it back to their friends is to find a place called the Keep, but there's a catch : the Keep can only be found by people who AREN'T looking for it!

  • Chapter Twelve - Snakebite

Despite Nasuti Yagyu's objections, the monstrous creature called Tytoung has her pegged to be a late dinner, and the only person she can rely on for protecton is Yamanouchi Naotoki. Of course, with the maniacal Naaza, Masho of Poison defending her, she'd probably be safer on her own... especially when she begins to suffer from a strange ailment, and they both wind up caught in the middle of a vicious rainstorm. On top of everything else, Naaza managed to get them lost...

  • Chapter Thirteen - Curse Of The Mountain Plains

Jun Yamano has had better days. In the past few hours, he's been attacked by giant bugs, had his shoulder torn to shreds, got seperated from his girlfriend, and as if that wasn't bad enough, he's stuck travelling with Takenoko and the Storm Senshi. Things appear to be looking up when he and his friends stumble across a magical sword, but since when have things ever gone right for him? Trouble rears its ugly head once again, and Jun REALLY starts to wish he'd stayed home...

  • Chapter Fourteen - Wolf Trap

Pedri's soldiers are tearing up the forest hunting for Empress Kayura and her allies. Together with the Outer Senshi, the young empress and Kujuurou Sasaki come up with a desperate plan to stay alive, and reunite with their scattered friends. But Anubis of the Masho is already weakened, badly injured from his previous battles. When the fearsome Thraw returns seeking vengeance, can the Wolf Masho survive his trap?

  • Chapter Fifteen - Turning Point

Back in the foreboding tower known only as The Keep, Hotaru Tomoe and Nasuti Yagyu struggle to save the life of the Snake Masho, with no help from Rajura. But when Kayura and Setsuna arrive with a critically wounded Anubis, will Rajura change his tune? A confrontation in the upper floor of The Keep between Setsuna and Rajura carries threatening and dangerous undertones, that end with a sword held to someone's neck...

  • Chapter Sixteen - The Iceman Cometh...

Welcome back, Jun! With the cursed sword far behind them (they think), Jun and his group (Takenoko, Kokuen, Shien, and the Storm Senshi) are back on track... as soon as they can figure out where they are. A fortunate meeting with the other two youja of Kayura's Guard gains them two more allies, but the decision to investigate a mysterious blizzard leads them all to an old friend of Takenoko's -and an even older blood feud between two deadly rivals. Jun, being Jun, offers to lend a helping hand, but is it really such a good idea to agree to something before you know any of the details?

  • Chapter Seventeen - Perspective

Haruka Ten'ou and Michiru Kaioh find themselves in the clutches of their enemies, face-to-face with none other than Pedri himself! Deep in the heart of the Siblings' fortress, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune will need to rely on their wits and a bit of luck in order to make their wish of freedom come true...
